Resident Choreographer

Kirsten’s career in the Australian musical theatre industry has spanned almost 30 years.

Her most recent work was as Resident Dance Supervisor on Mary Poppins (Disney/CML/MCG), which was an opportunity to revisit Cherry Tree Lane, after appearing as part of the original cast (Swing/Dance Captain/Principal Cover) when the show first opened in Australia in 2010.

Kirsten undertook the role of Australian Associate Movement Director on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Sonia Friedman/MCG). Previous to this, Kirsten was Resident Dance Supervisor on Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (MCG).

In 2018, Kirsten was nominated for a Green Room Award for her original choreography on The Production Company’s Hello Dolly!. Other credits for The Production Company include Assistant/Resident Choreographer and Swing on Dusty; and Assistant Choreographer on both The Producers and West Side Story.

Kirsten was Associate Choreographer on the Australian premiere productions of Strictly Ballroom and King Kong The Musical.

Kirsten had the great privilege of working with Tony Award-winning choreographer, Warren Carlyle on Hugh Jackman’s Broadway to Oz tour, serving as a dance coach to Hugh Jackman and Andy Lee, and as Auditions Dance Assistant .

As a performer, Kirsten has appeared as Hazel/Dance Captain in the new Australian musical, Georgy Girl; Swing/Dance Captain in We Will Rock You (LWAA); Shout!; The Wizard of Oz (GFO); Happy Days: The Arena Mega Musical; and as Helene in Sweet Charity, and in the Ensembles of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Anything Goes, and The Music Man (The Production Company).
