Christina Polimos

Musical Director

Christina began her classical piano studies at the young age of 5. A few years later, Christina was selected by renowned Australian concert pianist Roger Woodward to perform Schubert’s Marche Militaire piano duet in concert at the Sydney Opera House. At the young age of 11, Christina was invited to performed two of her compositions on ABC Classic FM as part of the Musica Viva concert series. Continuing her studies, Christina obtained her Bachelor of Music in Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Christina has always had a passion for musical theatre. She has performed for over 15 years in the industry as a theatre musician in big name productions including Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Love Never Dies, Doctor Zhivago, Disney’s The Lion King, Disney’s Aladdin, Wizard of Oz, Book of Mormon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Billy Elliot and Cinderella.

Christina has worked as Assistant Musical Director in Australia and overseas for Mary Poppins (New Zealand), Les Miserables (Brisbane, Manila, Singapore), My Far Lady (Sydney) and Disney’s Frozen Australian Tour.

Christina is thrilled to be bringing the empowering story of Tina Turner to Australia as Musical Director.
