Nicholai is Associate Director at The Lyric Hammersmith, London.

To launch their Autumn 2023 Season, Nicholai will be directing Romeo and Juliet at the Manchester Royal Exchange.

In Autumn 2021 Nicholai wrote and created the Lyric Hammersmith’s large scale community play – Heart Of Hammersmith, telling intergenerational stories of the people, places, sights and sounds of Hammersmith past and present. Celebrating West London across immigrant arrivals, the rise of gentrification and the shadows left by Grenfell and the rallying of a resilient community.

In July 2020 Arts Ed London appointed Nicholai to their Board of Trustees.

 Nicholai has been a MOBO Fellow.
